Terms of Service
Welcome to Servly. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Servly website, mobile applications and related services (together, the "Platform"), operated by Servly Ltd. in Trinidad & Tobago. By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms.
1. What Servly is
Servly is an online marketplace that connects customers with independent, self-employed service providers ("Pros") who offer onsite home services such as electrical, plumbing, cleaning, appliance repair and similar trades. Servly is not the employer of any Pro and does not itself provide the services booked through the Platform. Pros are independent contractors responsible for their own work, tools, taxes and conduct.
2. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Servly. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Pro verification & registration fee
Before a Pro's listing becomes visible, Servly reviews submitted proof of work, certifications and/or identification. Verification is a good-faith review and is not a guarantee of a Pro's skill, licensing, insurance or character. Verified Pros pay a one-time registration fee to activate their listing, payable online or in person via an office-issued code. The fee is non-refundable once the listing is activated.
4. Bookings, deposits & payment
When you book a Pro you enter into a direct agreement with that Pro for the service. For online bookings a deposit may be required to secure the appointment, with the balance due after the work is completed. Cash bookings are settled directly with the Pro. Servly may charge a service commission to Pros on completed jobs. Prices shown are estimates set by the Pro; final pricing is agreed between you and the Pro.
5. Cancellations & no-shows
Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled time are free. Cancellations within 12–24 hours may forfeit 50% of any deposit; within 12 hours, up to 100%. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows by a customer or Pro may result in strikes, a required deposit on future bookings, or suspension. Full cancellation terms are shown at the time you book.
6. Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including: posting false or misleading information; harassing or discriminating against others; circumventing Servly to avoid fees; attempting to access accounts that are not yours; or using the Platform for unlawful purposes. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences.
7. Disputes between users
Servly may help mediate disputes but is not obligated to and is not a party to the agreement between customers and Pros. We encourage users to resolve issues directly and in good faith.
8. Disclaimers & liability
The Platform is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Servly disclaims warranties of any kind and is not liable for the acts, omissions, quality of work, or conduct of any Pro or customer, nor for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Trinidad & Tobago.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or pose a risk to the community.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified through the Platform. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, and disputes are subject to its courts.
