Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Servly Ltd. ("Servly", "we") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use the Servly website, mobile applications and related services (the "Platform") in Trinidad & Tobago.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly — your name, email, phone number, service area, booking details, messages, reviews, and (for Pros) verification documents such as proof of work, certifications, identification and a profile photo. We also collect limited technical data (device, log and usage information) automatically to operate and secure the Platform.
2. How we use it
We use your information to: create and manage your account; match customers with Pros; process bookings, deposits and payments; verify Pros; send service notifications; provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; and improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal information.
3. What we share
To make a booking work, we share necessary details between the customer and the Pro (for example, name, contact number, service address and job details). We may share data with payment processors and service providers who help us run the Platform, and where required by law. We do not publish your contact details publicly.
4. Verification documents
Documents uploaded by Pros for verification are used solely to review eligibility and are stored securely with restricted access. They are not shown on public profiles.
5. Data retention & security
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no system is perfectly secure.
6. Your choices & rights
You can access and update most of your information in your account settings, and you may request correction or deletion of your data, subject to legal limits. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Platform. Where we use non-essential cookies, we ask for your consent and you may decline.
8. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes & contact
We may update this Policy and will notify material changes through the Platform. Questions or requests? Reach us through the contact page.
This is a general template and not legal advice. Servly should have this Policy reviewed by a qualified attorney and aligned with Trinidad & Tobago's Data Protection Act before launch.
